Walter Bell
Co-Founder / Chief Creative Officer (aka Chief Pixel Pusher)
Born and raised in a cozy wired analog treehouse in Cleveland, Ohio, I flew from the thin atmosphere of that mothership funk in 1993 and landed in Brooklyn, New York. Upon arrival, I put my college degree to good use when I started earning my keep by creating awesome jingles with a few coins and a paper coffee cup on various corner of New York City. Check out: “Paper Cup Funk” on iTunes (under “Will Work for the Funk, Gotta have that Funk.”). Sike! Ok, not really, but have I mentioned my job as a whale rider on Nat Geo’s bad boyz of the outback? Ok, so I like to be creative…then came the day when I met Mr. Thompson who put me onto a new racket. So here I sit, birthing digital creations so that clients of Cando’s amazing work will see and experience all the possibilities of this new global treehouse we all live in now. Some people see the Internet & mobile apps as two lanes on the information highway. We see them as sweet pumping pistons on the Pixel Autobahn. Not for the fast and furious, but a blast for the smart and curious.

Jerry Thompson
Co-Founder / Chief Technology Officer (aka Product Ninja)
Born and raised in 4 of the 5 boroughs of New York City, Jerry is a true New Yorker at heart. He attended New York University where he majored in Journalism. While attending Baruch College he switched his major to Computer Information Systems and Business Management. Originally set out to be a journalist, life took him in a completely different direction. Following brief stints at Def Jam Records and founding his own independent record label, he eventually landed at a major New York publishing company building out their multi-regional network infrastructure. It was there that he met Walter Bell, and soon after they founded Cando Entertainment.

While not helping to make Cando’s clients into rockstars, you can usually find Jerry absorbed in spending time with his wife and two kids.

“The most profound technologies are those that disappear. They weave themselves into the fabric of everyday life until they are indistinguishable from it.” – Mark Weiser

Maxim Puhalevich
Senior Developer (aka Knower of All Things)
Max attended the Maritime Lyceum and was the first student awarded a full scholarship to attend in the school’s history. Although Max focused on Mathematics and Physics while at Maritime Lyceum and graduated at the top of his class (ranked #1 overall). After attending NUoS, Max studied Information Security and Protection and graduated with distinction amongst his peers. He would soon find a new challenge — programming. Initially starting out as a hobby, Max found himself writing Flash-based games for friends. Realizing his self-taught talents needed to expand, he broadened his talents and soon became an expert programmer in PHP, MySQL, Javascript and Action Script.

While not building applications and heading Cando’s programming team, you can usually find Max reading Science Fiction books, championing against others in Airsoft battles, working out and snowboarding across Eastern and Central Europe.
